About Broadgate Speakers

Welcome to Broadgate Speakers, located in the vibrant neighborhood of Bethnal Green, just a 10-minute walk from Bethnal Green Underground Station.

Our Meetings

We meet twice a month, every second and fourth Tuesday of the month. You can join us in person, or online via Zoom. Our club provides a safe and supportive environment for you to practice your public speaking and communication skills.

What we Offer

Give speeches: You can give prepared speeches on any topic that you want. After your speech, you will receive feedback from everyone in the club.
Book roles: At each meeting, we have many roles available for our members such as Timeekeerer, Table Topics Master, and many more. By booking these roles you get more time on stage, and you become more comfortable on stage.
Receive feedback: Here at Broadgate Speakers, everyone receives feedback. After every role you take, and after every speech you give you will receive feedback from our team of evaluators. So you can know what’s working, and what needs some work.

Meeting Structure

Our meetings are separated into 4 sections.

Guest introduction: All of the guests will have a chance to come up on stage and do a short 1-minute introduction.
Table Topics: Our Table Topics Master will bring people up on stage one by one, you will get asked a question on the spot, and you will have to talk on that topic for 1 to 2 minutes.
Prepared Speeches (Members only) – 5-7 minute prepared speeches on a topic chosen by our members.
Speech Evaluations (Members only) – Evaluations of the prepared speeches.
